Coach Christel Frey
Hello everyone!  I’m Christel Frey (soon to be Mrs. Strutz) and I am from South Milwaukee.  I teach 3rd and 4th grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Cudahy.  Volleyball has been something I have always enjoyed!  I played for four years at Wisconsin Lutheran High School before going to Wisconsin Lutheran College where I played basketball.  This year at St. Paul’s I have had the opportunity to coach b-team volleyball and I am looking forward to being able to do that with the Junior Vikings program as well!  My goal for this year is to help each player improve her basic skills from the first day of practice to the last and to instill in them good teamwork.  I am excited to meet everyone and for the upcoming season!

Coach Alaina Poppe

Hello! My name is Sophie Warner and I am from a small, northwestern town called Clear Lake. I started playing volleyball in middle school and played on the varsity level starting my sophomore year of high school. I am currently attending Carroll University with a major in Exercise Science and an emphasis in Physical Therapy. I also started playing for the club team at Carroll last year, but turned it down in order to coach for Junior Viking! I am super excited for my second season with Junior Vikings and am hoping to bring the girls to a more competitive level, while also building a great team dynamic!

Riley Olson
I am a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran College. I have played volleyball since I was 11 years old. I played for multiple clubs when I was growing up and continued on to Wisconsin Lutheran High School and played all four years as a setter. I am now at Wisconsin Lutheran College where I study Communications as well as play on the volleyball team. I have been coaching with Junior Vikings for three years going on to my fourth. I have coaches for both the 14s and 11s teams. I look forward to being back with the 14 year olds this year and cannot wait to see where this year takes us!
